As Hurricane Katrina approaches, motorists wait for contraflow lanes to open at the Clearview crossover on I-10 Westbound in Metairie. The contraflow lanes were open to motorists at 4 pm, but traffic promptly was halted a few hundred yards up for almost thirty minutes while more cones were put out.
