Saladworks is searching for a strategic investor.

Saladworks, the nation’s first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise concept, is working to identify highly qualified strategic investors to facilitate the next phase in growth.

The company in its Growth Stage, is poised for significant expansion. Saladworks’ 2013 system wide sales reached 76 million. With 20 stores on target to open in 2014, the franchise has more than 60 additional units in development. Founded in 1986, Saladworks now boasts over 100 locations both domestically and internationally. Systemwide sales for Saladworks in 2013 were $76 million.

Saladworks Goes Global

In addition to the potential for explosive growth domestically, Saladworks is beginning to leave its mark on the International landscape. With locations already open in Singapore and Canada, the concept is expanding its presence rapidly. Stores in both Dubai and Qatar will open in 2014.

Saladworks is a pioneer in the Fast Casual industry and was the first entrée sized fresh salad concept of its kind. They have continued to remain the leader in their category and have had steady growth while beginning to benefit from scalability.

“Selecting the best strategic partner for the brand’s future is the most important decision I’ve made for Saladworks in my 27 year history with the company,” says John Scardapane, founder and CEO. “We have all worked tirelessly to reach this new tipping point and are prepared for our next phase of growth.”
Saladworks has engaged the investment banking firm of Mufson, Howe, Hunter & Company to assist it in identifying qualified strategic partners.

Saladworks, celebrating its 27th year in operation, is the nation’s first and largest fresh-salad franchise concept. Operating more than 100 locations in 11 states with more than 60 units in development, Saladworks offers a wide menu of flavorful salads, signature dressings, proprietary soups and Fusion and Panini sandwiches.
