Cruise Holidays International opened registration for its 2014 Annual Convention, to be held in New Orleans this May 15-18. In addition to featuring its signature workshops, roundtables, trade show, general sessions and networking events, the centerpiece of Cruise Holidays’ Annual Convention will be its 30-year anniversary celebration, as evoked by its theme for this year, “The Big Three-Oh in the Big Easy.”
Cruise Holidays Discount
As an incentive to register early, the franchise network announced a special reduced registration rate of $179 for those who sign up by Friday, February 14.
Marking the first time in four years that the Cruise Holidays Annual Convention is meeting on land, the Hilton New Orleans Riverside was selected as the host hotel. The Hilton is located on the banks of the Mississippi River and just four blocks from the city’s colorful French Quarter. The franchise network anticipates record participation by travel and tourism industry suppliers during its trade show, because of its land-based location and its late spring kickoff – which typically holds fewer industry conferences overall than the organization’s previous fall schedule.
The Big Easy and Cruise Holidays
“We are thrilled to reach our 30-year milestone as a franchise network and plan to celebrate in high style in The ‘Big Easy.’ In fact, we’ll be highlighting more than 10 of our Cruise Holidays store owners for being 20-plus year veterans of our international system,” said Kevin Weisner, Senior Vice President, Cruise Holidays International. “We are exhilarated and inspired by their long-term success, and we look forward to sharing even more developments from a headquarters perspective that will lead to the continued, collective success of all our franchise owners.”
Weisner added that New Orleans was selected as a host city due to its draw as a tourist destination and a cruise port. “New Orleans is a bustling and convenient port, with a variety of cruise ships sailing to the Caribbean, Bermuda, the Panama Canal and more. Combine that with its internationally-known cuisine, jazz music scene and historic attractions – including of course, the French Quarter, we look forward to educating our agents even further on ways they can extend their clients’ vacations with a slice of the Crescent City.”
To assist Cruise Holidays agents in further bolstering their destination expertise, Cruise Holidays will offer a New Orleans Mini-FAM and workshop on May 14, prior to the Annual Convention’s opening ceremonies. For franchise owners and agents who are interested in additional technology training, Cruise Holidays will offer a full day of hands-on instruction on specific Cruise Holidays programs and services. This workshop will also take place on May 14.
In addition to the early bird registration rate, Cruise Holidays is offering a negotiated nightly hotel rate of $179 per night at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside based on double occupancy or $199 per night for triple/quad occupancy, plus taxes. To register for the Annual Convention, Cruise Holidays franchise owners and agents can visit Cruise Holidays’ password-protected extranet site, The Bridge.
