Want to make extra cash for the holiday season, but aren’t quite ready to launch a fulltime business? Start selling online. According to the National Retail Federation, the average American family spent $752 on holiday gifts in 2012. With no reason to expect that amount to decrease in 2013, many might be wondering how they’ll find the money for holiday gifts this year.
Suzanne A. Wells, an expert on selling new and pre-owned goods on eBay and Amazon, suggests turning to selling online.
“The average American household has around $7,000 worth of unused or unwanted items that could be sold online,” she says, making this the perfect time to clean out closets and attics to generate money for holiday spending.
To help people do just that, Wells has launched Unite Commerce, an online training website offering a wide range of courses for individuals interested in making money online. Webinar training programs accepting registration now range from how to sell Pre-owned Women’s Clothing on eBay to Etsy for Beginners, to Alternative Income Streams. The average course cost is $47, which includes webinar participation and resource materials.
