Mission 50 Workspaces, Hudson County’s premier coworking space, will host a “Trademark Academy” on Wednesday, September 18, beginning at noon. The free workshop is being presented by Beame & Mencher, LLP, a top NYC law firm specializing in brand development and protection for business startups. Mission 50 is located at 50 Harrison Street in Hoboken, N.J.
During the program, Brian Mencher, Esq., Vidal Maurrasse, Esq., and Jordan Gutglass of Beame & Mencher will provide insight into a range of key issues from the early stages of brand development to a breakdown of the steps every business must take to achieve nationwide brand protection through trade and service mark registration. They will discuss the management requirements for registering a trademark or service mark, the specific benefits that inure through registration, the steps necessary to register a mark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and the timeline of events an applicant can expect during the registration process. Ultimately, the “Trademark Academy” empowers entrepreneurs to handle their brand strategy in-house, without necessarily hiring a lawyer during the initial start-up phase.
