WOMANCON Entrepreneurship Conference Set For Sept. 25 in NYC

[ 0 ] Aug. 26, 2013 | SBO Editor

NYC Event Planner Laura Leites of L2 Event Production and marketing partner, Adrienne Garland of KMS Group, Inc. have put together WomanCon, a one-of-a-kind conference that brings together women entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and the media – both on and off the stage.

WomanCon will be a day filled with stories, lessons learned, interactive media pitching sessions and inspiration. The conference is intended for women at any stage of their venture’s development – whether the idea for their business is ruminating in their minds, if they’ve recently launched or if they are looking to grow.

The speaker lineup is sure to resonate with any woman who has an entrepreneurial mindset.  Keynotes and panel discussions include: Getting Funding for Growth with Kay Koplovitz & Peggy Wallace; Turning Ideas into Companies with Yao Huang; 5 Strategies for a Stronger Brand with Julie Cottineau; and an opportunity to pitch the media live with a panel featuring Inc., MSNBC and more.

“Our goal with WomanCon is to inspire and support entrepreneurship for women. We want attendees to get a ‘peek behind the curtain’ of successful women founders so they are prepared to start and build successful businesses. WomanCon will showcase critical resources and bring together a network of like-minded women to help them get there,” said Laura Leites when asked about what she hopes to convey at the conference.

“We’re so excited to be working toward a common goal that will allow women to tap into their creativity and business savvy and create something sustainable for themselves and their families for the future,” added Adrienne Garland.

WomanCon is generously sponsored by PR Newswire, Batchbook, Regus and Goodsearch.  Our marketing partners include Page Bureau, Greenwich Village – Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, Cake and Whiskey, Small Business Trends and Small Biz Technology.
