IFA Support for Changes in Affordable Health Care Definition of Full-Time

[ 0 ] Aug. 6, 2013 | SBO Editor

Sens. Joe Donnelly and Susan Collins have proposed a bill that would change the Affordable Care Act’s definition of a full-time employee from working 30 hours per week to 40 hours per week. “The bill will provide important relief from the Affordable Care Act’s mandates to both franchisees and small-business owners across many industries and will allow them to grow their businesses and provide flexible work hours to their employees,” IFA President and CEO Steve Caldeira wrote in support of the legislation.
