Lack of Liquor Licenses Leaves Boston Restaurateurs High & Dry

Boston has been pumping money into community revitalization projects throughout the city, but the lack of available liquor licenses for the city’s restaurants is hindering economic growth, according to an editorial in the Boston Globe. Alcohol sales help buffer the high cost of running a restaurant and owners who can’t attain a license are risking losing their businesses, the editorial says.
