Great article! I just wanted to say this post is right on
the money. Apps are difficult to market, and games specifically have there own
challenges. Video is definitely one of the best tools to get started with, and
search engines love video. Most apps need explanation with a voice over, but
most games dont, so you really need to present the game play in an enticing way
and keep it short. You can make one yourself easily with your developer tool and
a decent screen recorder. It takes some time but its well worth it. You

could also just pay somebody to do it. I personally have used blue fortress
media to make mine, but I know there are other good ones like appvj, wyzowl,
and demo fuck. Either way good luck to you! And once again great article.

    Regards Thanks

Thank you very much for publishing this article

I agree with most of the points in this article, Most of Adam’s suggestions are good however there is some misrepresentation: Bright local CONTACTED 20,000 U.S. based businesses of those 668 responded to their 13 question survey. This is a very small sample in such a large country and questions rise when 20,000 SMB’s were asked to participate and they only receive a 0.334% response rate.

Having a look at the respondents results in question four, SEO is the second highest rated marketing channel.

The best option i believe, for a new SMB is to start with an attractive, functional, accurate, and responsive website, then a metered SEO
campaign, and PPC following. We have used this process for many of our smaller
clients and it has proven very effective for them.

The beautiful thing here is all this online marketing generates a reputation through Word of Mouth, as long as their product/service is of quality and their staff provide a positive experience.
