VetFran Program Helps Our Military Heroes With Franchise Financing

[ 0 ] Apr. 8, 2013 | SBO Editor

Nathan Johnson joined the Marine Corps in 2004, serving for 8 ½ years as a Sergeant. Near the end of his enlistment, Johnson saw The Grounds Guys landscape management franchise on the show Undercover Boss and was immediately interested by the company’s business systems, veteran discount, and partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities. In December 2012, just a few months after leaving the armed forces, he opened a The Grounds Guys location in Bell County, Texas, home to the America’s largest military base, Ft. Hood.

Helping a home or business recover from water, fire, smoke or mold damage requires the latest technology, tools and training. However, local business owner Chad Vicknair knows the human touch is equally important during such a time of need. A military veteran, Vicknair opened Rainbow International of Southeast Louisiana in February 2011 as an expansion to his previous restoration business. In addition to mold damage cleanup and disaster restoration, his business offers include carpet, grout and tile cleaning. Vicknair and his team attended a learning program at Rainbow International corporate headquarters to learn water, fire, smoke and mold damage cleanup restoration science and techniques.
