A small business index survey released from Sage North America highlights that American small business owners feel more optimistic than their global counterparts.  According to the survey findings, American respondents were positive with an index value of 60.28, (indexes are based on a scale where zero to 50 is negative and 50 to 100 is positive) where the global business index confidence index was 56.46.

In addition, the Small Business Index Survey, which surveyed 953 US businesses and more than 10,000 businesses worldwide, show that half of all those surveyed show that the most favorable part of doing business in the US is the entrepreneurial spirit engrained in the American culture, with 52% of respondents citing that business bureaucracy and legislation is the least favorable aspect of doing business in the U.S.
