With the National Retail Federation forecasting a healthy holiday season ahead, expecting between 585,000 and 625,000 jobs to be created, major retailers and seasonal employees have a reason to be merry. And for information on what kinds of part-time jobs are available now and where they are, check out the below data from Indeed.com, owner of 54% of all job search traffic in the United States, that offers additional insights on the NRF’s seasonal jobs forecast.

Top 10 seasonal and part-time titles wanted by employers

1.     Sales Associate

2.     Merchandise Associate

3.     Nurse

4.     Store Team Member

5.     Customer Service Representative

6.     Driver

7.     Manager

8.     Clerk

9.     Cashier

10.  Material Handler

Top 10 cities with the most seasonal job openings right now:

1.     New York: 17.37% of top 10 cities, and 3.25% of total seasonal job postings

2.     Chicago: 13.56% of top 10 cities, and 2.54% of total seasonal job postings

3.     Washington, DC: 12.27% of top 10 cities, and 2.30% of total seasonal job postings

4.     Los Angeles: 10.65% of top 10 cities, and 1.99% of total seasonal job postings

5.     Boston: 9.27% of top 10 cities, and 1.74% of total seasonal job postings

6.     Philadelphia: 7.74% of top 10 cities, and 1.45% of total seasonal job postings

7.     Houston: 7.66% of top 10 cities, and 1.44% of total seasonal job postings

8.     San Francisco: 7.38% of top 10 cities, and 1.37% of total seasonal job postings

9.     Miami: 7.32% of top 10 cities, and 1.37% of total seasonal job postings

10.  Dallas: 6.77% of top 10 cities, and 1.27% of total seasonal job postings

Additionally, a few of the companies that ranked high for seasonal job listings included Macy’s, Target, FedEx, Mattel, Suburban Propane, Party City, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, T-Mobile, and Tiffany & Co.
