VetFran Committee Vice Chair Joe Lindenmayer of TSS Photography and The Grounds Guy franchisee Rick Santo joined First Lady Michelle Obama as she addressed roughly 700 attendees at Mayport Naval Base in Jacksonville, FL.  The First Lady said the Joining Forces goal of hiring 100,000 Veterans by 2014 was surpassed with nearly 2,000 companies combining to hire over 125,000 Veterans by mid-August, including those hired by Operation Enduring Opportunity.

VetFran memberships have surged 22% since the launch of Operation Enduring Opportunity, and the program has generated over 3000 media hits since that time.  We are proud to be a part of this important effort,” said Lindenmayer, a former Marine who is now a leader of the franchise industry and a founding member of the VetFran Chairman’s Corps. “It’s the right thing to do, and it’s good for our industry and our economy.”  At its September meeting, the VetFran Committee will be joined by the Military Officers Association of America and the USO.
