Recently the SBA Deputy Administrator visited a food manufacturer in Charlotte to highlight the efforts of the Obama Administration to help small businesses grow and create jobs. B. Roberts Foods, LLC. converted their facility into a full-scale food plant and created 45 new jobs with the help of an SBA-backed loan. Earlier this year, SBA announced the Supplier Connection, part of the Administration-wide American Supplier Initiative. Supplier Connection can help small suppliers, like B. Roberts Foods, get access to large buyers like IBM, AT & T and Caterpillar through a common application—creating more opportunities to start, grow and hire more Americans.
