After literally spinning its wheels across America, Flywheel Sports, the US’s fastest growing boutique fitness brand, is going global, with its recent announcement of its first studio in Dubai.
Flywheel, which currently has 10 domestic locations, will have more than 20 studios worldwide by the end of 2012. The debut of Flywheel Dubai affirms Flywheel Sports as an industry innovator and the vanguard of indoor cycling fitness studios in the Middle East.
Since its inception in 2010, Flywheel has changed the fitness landscape with a series of industry firsts, including theater-style seating, custom-made indoor cycling bikes, curated playlists and complimentary perks such as bottled water, and cycling shoe rentals for clients. For its Middle East expansion, Flywheel has entered into a joint venture with entrepreneurs Amira Salaam Amro, Reem Farah Delivanis, and Anita Mehra to open Flywheel studios across the Middle East.
The first Flywheel studio in Dubai will be a 4,500 square foot studio located in the heart of the city’s downtown neighborhood, the new commercial and residential epicenter surrounding ‘Burj Khalifa’, the world’s tallest building. Dubai’s cosmopolitan mix of UAE nationals and expatriates, and the constant influx of visitors, make for a very sophisticated community of fitness enthusiasts.
