Small Business Development Centers Announce Loan Program

[ 0 ] Sep. 2, 2011 | SBO Editor

The Association of Small Business Development Centers announced a strategic partnership to create a loan center to seamlessly connect SBDC counselors and their clients with more than 1,000 lenders nationwide. The new loan center will be powered by BoeFly, which is the most efficient way for an SBDC counselor to seek financing for a small-business owner.

Users will access the loan center to build an online bank-ready financing request, which includes the ability to securely store documents online. The client financing requests will be matched with interested lenders based upon lending preferences submitted to BoeFly by its participating banks.

“SBDCs provide a vital role for America’s small businesses and the ASBDC has been a force in improving the SBDC network,” said Mike Rozman, president of BoeFly.

“The ASBDC Loan Center powered by BoeFly is another example of our support of the small businesses of America,” said C.E. “Tee” Rowe, president and CEO of ASBDC. “The current economic environment presents an historic challenge and our partnership with BoeFly empowers SBDC counselors to connect their small-business clients with more than 1,000 lenders nationwide.”

There are approximately 1,000 Small Business Development Centers hosted by leading universities, colleges and state economic development agencies, and funded in part through a partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. They provide no-cost consulting and low-cost training to business owners and entrepreneurs.
