Huggies has launched year two of its successful MomInspired grant program, awarding 12 grants ($15,000 each) annually to inventive moms to help fund their child care product ideas and women-owned business start-ups.
MomInspired was introduced last spring, drawing in nearly 400 applicants, and awarding a total of $250,000 to 12 moms for their ideas inspired by motherhood such as:
o A spill-proof training cup
o A device that relieves the stress and pain of child vaccinations
o An online tool that helps moms balance their busy lives
Huggies MomInspired pledges to further encourage small business success by allowing grant recipients access to educational and financial resources from within Kimberly-Clark as well third-party marketing experts, such as Maria Bailey, mompreneur and founder of working mother resource BlueSuitMom.com.
